It was sick, just sick! The cruelty shown to Dee and Dum, plus other savage acts were painful to read about.
I'm always a bit shocked when I find myself giving Willow Rose less than five stars, but I came close to making it 3, to tell you the truth.

I’m not really into knives and people having their skin removed.more Rose has written several books about Emma Frost’s adventures, but I’m not sure if I’m up to any more because I found this one to be pretty grisly and it made me rather squeamish. No spoilers here, so that's all I'll say about the story. Their father eventually repents, becomes a doctor and goes looking for them. They were practically wild and only spoke to each other in their own language. Along with the cruise story, the reader also learns of a pair of conjoined twins who had been abandoned by their father and abused their entire lives.
While on board, young people start disappearing. It was about a Dutch woman, Emma Frost, who goes on a cruise with her autistic son and his friend. Their father eventually repents, becomes a doctor and goes lo I’ve had this book for years and finally decided to read it. I’ve had this book for years and finally decided to read it. It's all so unfortunate, because the story line was actually pretty good, and the plot twist was excellent. Additionally, the descriptions of the creepy antagonist in the beginning of the book (and throughout) just seemed stale and uninteresting. In short, my suspension of disbelief was pretty much spent. And the one gaping hole that I had an issue with was, after two deaths on the cruise ship, *whhhhy* wouldn't the cruise ship just halt its trip right then and there for forensics reasons, let alone why on earth would the characters just keep cruising.? Its fatal errors were that (1) it didn't seem believable - or perhaps I find the police and other authority figures in the story to be unbelievably inept and out of protocol (2) there were just too many instances where the author seemed to be attempting to manipulate the reader's emotions, but hadn't built up enough facts to make the emotions believable.
